Is TrendMicro's Transaction Guard good?

I installed it. And, it slowed down my computer terribly.

And to use it, do I have to install it from the internet everytime? It doesn't seem to be a program installed on my computer. When I close it, it just disappeared.

Is there any freeware out there with the same function (allows me to key in confidential data securely)?
