No configuration file present

Short of FDISK my complete system how do I get past the error "Arcronis Loader: No Configuration file present"

I have uninstall, I have re-installed, I have repair, I have used Vista install to repair. I have re-uninstalled re-reinstalled. re-repaired again retry this, retry that.

Reboot and what do I get? "Arcronis Loader: No Configuration file present"

Very unimpressed with the tool.

How do I fix it?

If you're okay with reinstalling again, you could wipe the disk using DD. That should clear any remains of Acronis Loader out. Make sure to wipe the entire beginning of the drive including the MBR area. You can use the Disk Editor to view it and make sure it got cleared.
