Hi everybody,
i have the following problem and hope someone can help me to understand it.
1. current machine
- HP Proliant PIII with 641-Array Controller RAID1
- primary active partition: EXT2 (lilo)
- primary partition: linux-swap (700MB)
- primary partition; ReiserFS (16gig)
2. new machine to replace the old one
- HP Proliant DL360 G5 with E200-array controller RAID1
My problem:
First, i copied the 3 partitions to a usb-harddisc and then to the new system.
So far, so good, but the new system will not boot from harddisc, MBR error 1, MBR error 3.
How to get the new machine up and what can be done to implement the driver for the new array-hostadapter? Should this be done before starting the copy process on the old machine?
