Anyone know why DSOExploit.zips are found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ Spybot-Search&Destroy\Recovery ?
Only on wife's laptop not on my desktop. Can they be deleted - NOD32 shows them as password protected (locked) but can be opened with Power Archiver. SAS, a2, AVG AS all give them clean bill of health. :)

Thanks for the spadework. I also saw this - but Spybot has not, as far as I know, ever detected this stuff. As the zips are doing no harm I'll just leave them to RIP. ;D

I do recall a DSOExploit issue quite a while back in a previous version of Spybot S&D.

There was a few years ago,

I installed DSOstop2 at that time and blocked the possibility, since then I just let it run, or whatever it does in the background.

Maybe today's IE is already protected.
