Moving Partition

iN Disc Director, I have moved my only primary partition to the end of the hard drive. When I perform the actions, it boots a few times showing blue screens indication locking partition and checking for errors. When it finishes, nothing has happened, no error messages, what is going wrong?

If you're starting the procedure in Windows and it doesn't work. Boot from the rescue cd and perform the procedure from there. For some reason a lot of partition operations won't actually get done when the process is started in Windows.

If the primary partition is an XP boot partition, you'll may need to edit the boot.ini file to point to the correct partition in order to have it boot. That is assuming you're putting a new partition in front. If there is already a partition in front and you're just resizing, then it should boot okay.

If you mean "resize" by moved my only primary partition to the end of the hard drive then it shouldn't affect your booting.
