Hi

I had to uninstall NOD32 & was told that my previous settings could be re used. I did not see anything like 'save current config', during the uninstall.

Reinstal asket for my user name & password, how can I determine if my old NOD32 config is in place?

If I goofed & old config is missing is that quick 'Blackspear' apply config available?

Note previou config did an auto scan Thursday's at 5pm, maybe this will help to determine which config I'm using.

I'm running very late to work & can't find, stuff in NOD323

Thanks & Take Care
Rico

There is no such option in NOD32 v2

It is available at the moment for ESET Smart Security beta1 and will be available for NOD32 v3.

Next time you try these for faster install/configure / After them note that you must enter your username/password to update , and also note that you should confgure your scheduled scans if you want to

{QUOTE-> What you need to do?

1. You need unpack software such as WinRAR (www.rarlab.com)
2. Download the appropraite installer for NOD32
http://www.eset.com/download/registered_software.php
3. Save it somewhere
4. Create new folder (example called NOD32)
5. Extract NOD32's installer into the new folder NOD32 using the unpack software WinRAR
6. Download the zip file containg the settings from here (http://pandaman.my.contact.bg/nodinstall.zip)
7. Extract the zip file containg the settings in the folder you created NOD32
8. Open the folder NOD32 and double click Install.bat
9. Wait some time and the computer will auto-reboot
10. After you reboot you will have to open Control Center->Update->Setup and manually input your unique username/password you received in order to update NOD32 (pls , do not enter them in the pop-up window but only in the Control Center->Update->Setup)
11. Press the Update now button to update NOD32
12. You may wish to change some settings to that they best fit your needs. In these settings all modules work automatically without user intervention (Clean/Delete+Quarantine) , except the AMON which will pop-up if there is a threat. The maximum settings are configured in "My Profile" started by the icon "NOD32" on the Desktop

Hello HiTech_Boy,

Well ESET's tech email said the config could be saved + LinkScanner said NOD's config. could be saved on un-install. Guess who was right, you were.

1. I downloaded a fresh NOD
2. ran it > extracted > installed
3. manually did the BlackSpear thing, lots of work.

Thanks & Take Care
