Still hasn't changed. This is an old problem. Can successfully create bootable cd for ADD 10. However, when booting up with it and selecting full version of ADD 10 on the menu, it will not load and receive a long error message listing stack addresses, etc and final statement that <0>kernel panic: attempted to kill idle task: In idel task - not syncing.

hangs there and have to hit the power switch to turn computer off.

Have never been able to successfully boot into full version of ADD 10 from the cd for the last year.

Try hitting F11 when you get the first splash screen and leaving a space after "quiet" and then typing "acpi=off noapic" (without the quotation marks), then select the full version. Many times that's the solution to this problem.

If the acpi=off noapic commands don't work then try disconnecting any non-essential USB and/or firewire devices.
