Is this AOL scanner good?
I use it now and i like it.
It is free and uses the Kaspersky engine.

it has the same detection rates as the full KAV (on_scan), Kav also has a proactive defense module that's not used (usable) in regular tests
see www.av-comparatives.org for detection rates. ignore that malware-test BS.

nope another poor test.

try av-comparatives.org / AV-TEST.org / virusbtn.com

i believe AVS to be a kaspersky clone, minus a few features, detection should still be there.

Even sub-par AV's achieve a VB100%. :thumbd: Vendors have come to realize the marketing significance of these tests, and the effort they put into their products to pass the VB100 tests may not reflect the effort they put into detecting viruses outside of those included in the VB100 test set. It's possible for an AV product to pass all the VB100 tests but still have mediocre and/or inferior detection rates.

dont agree, if the av companys are told of the wildlist in vb testing, it should be easyyyyyyyy to pass, but some fail, and some continue to fail, poor.
