Hello, Can someone please help...

I have Acronis True Image 10 Home and I am impressed with it's ability to do a complete backup of the C: drive to an image on the C: drive! Very clever!

Can I take things one step further...?
I have a laptop with a 70GB drive and 10GB spare. Its XP home, all on one partition (not setup by me). Most of the disk has data on it and I can move at least 50GB of it to one folder so is it possible to do a 'full backup of the disk except for this one large folder to an image on the C: drive?

I know I could move the data to another PC first or use partition magic to create a new partition and move it there but I wondered if it was possible to just skip one folder on a full backup.

Thanks for any constructive advice in advance.

Hal

Hello trueblue,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Please be aware that a full backup is performed on a drive structure level, not file system one. Therefore, single files/folders cannot be distinguished and separated during a full backup.

Thank you.
