hello,
i have just downloaded ewido micro from the ewido site but wondered if it uses the new engine used in avg antispyware 7.5 and also does it still update its defs?
im asking because its still called ewido anti spyware 4.0 micro scanner and not avg antispyware micro scanner
i dont want to have to install avg 7.5 antispyware just for on demand.
also an FP with coolwebsearch after about 2seconds of scanning.
it has the same amount of defs as the ewido home page states.

I would also suggest doing as karl.ewido (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/member.php?u=41498) requested in this (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=964014#post964014) recent FP thread.

please use the Windows registry editor (regedit.exe) to locate this detected key, then create a backup file (*.reg) of this key and send us this exported reg file:

I would of thought so. Anyway detection seems good, sample from a drive with malware taken from warez pages over last few days.

My AVG Internet Security says that the Anti-Spyware module version is 4.2.18, which probably means that AVG Anti-Spyware = Ewido 4.2, which means detection rates should remain almost nearly the same, if not exactly. :)
