I am testing Kaspersky antivirus for Vista. When I read in the help file it says this about Proactive defense:

-{ Quote: "This Proactive Defense component is not available under Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Microsoft Windows Vista, or Microsoft Windows Vista x64.

" }-

I am a bit confused since I see and can change the Proactive settings. To me they seem very available. Am I right to believe that the component is there but does nothing useful in Vista?

only some are not available, like application integrity control or some submodules of the activity analyzer (intrusion into processes, window hooks, rootkit (hidden object)...)

I see, I guess they will be implemented later? when they figure out how to protect the user without breaking the MS law. Anyway, I am pleasantly surprised how smooth it is.
Thank you for your reply.
