View Full Version : Restored files and folders - pretty simple question I think

Hello,
Product: True Image 9 (Home)
I made an archive image of an entire partition on my old PC, and have successfully gone through the "Restore Files and Folders" process to my new PC. I only wanted the files and folders, since it had my music files. No need to resurrect the entire partition, per se. The old PC partition was called "Music". The new folder these files and folders went to is called "Audio" which resides on my "Media" partition.

Process went beautifully, however there is now a folder called "Music" on my new PC with system files in it that cannot be removed. This resides within the "Audio" folder. It is about 500MB in size. This folder represents the old partition, although I've moved all the audio files out of it, up one layer to "Audio" for one less layer of navigation/digging.

I would like to delete this folder if at all possible. When I attempt to do so I get a message about how its a system folder and can't be deleted - "Access is denied".

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this particular issue? I hope I've been clear in describing the problem. If not please let me know.

Thanks,
E

If you do not have a BartPE cd consult your Google Gods for how and where to get one (it is free). When you make this cd, boot with it and use its Windows-like Explorer interface to navigate to the folder, which you should then be able to delete.
Alternatively a live Linux cd should allow you to do the same.
