I noticed my Ashampoo upgraded to, what it called, an "improved" scanning engine. Is this still a-squared or did Ashampoo switch to another OEM?

From the Ashampoo site, part of the product description is-

" Technology highlights for the experts:

Heuristic analysis: Advanced new algorithms for identifying unknown threats by their behavior

Memory scan: Detects and blocks active threats

Kernel-level protection: Ensures fully gapless monitoring

Full system scanning: Scans and cleans the Windows® registry as well as files and system areas

Patch proof: Strong signatures prevent malicious patching attempts

Archive scanning: Scans files packed and hidden in compressed archives

DLL Trojans: Secure detection and deletion of DLL Trojans

Crypters and binders: Identifies malware cloaked with crypters and binders."

What I know about this program is that it still uses the A Squared Anti-Malware scanning engine, but not the RealTime IDS that a squared uses. I don't know if there has been anything new added to the current Ashampoo RealTime Guard, but the Heuristic detection is a nice feature to have.
