Please comment my set up

1. Kindly comment my set up:
Avira Antivir PE, BoClean, Comodo Pro, and CyberHawk.

or Nod32+BoClean+Outpost Pro+CyberHawk
2. I am running Window XP Pro SP2, Firefox.
3. Advise if the set up is too much overlapping, ok, or need improving.
4. Does not have to be free, I can pay for software when needed.
5. Solutions please.

Add "No Script" & "Adblock" extensions to your Firefox and you will be fine.

Also keep your windows up to date.

Though not necessary, adding a sandbox would add an additional layer of security. I'd recommend Sandboxie. You have an AV, an AT, a HIPS, a firewall. The glaring void in your setup is an ASW, though many will contend this also isn't necessary. I'd recommend SAS Pro if you are willing to pay. Spyware Terminator is a good free alternative.

I agree with KikiBibi: NoScript for FF is imperative for better security.

I agree with TypicallyOffbeat about Superantispyware, although i think that with your setup,which includes Boclean (great against all kinds of malware) Antivir (superb detection all around) and a behaviour blocker like Cyberhawk, perhaps you can stick with the free edition and make scans once in a while.

I don't see anything wrong with your setup.
You could think of adding a free antispyware scanner.
Maybe SAS,A-Squared or AVG AS.

I agree with this comments. You could think of adding a sandbox type security program that would be great additon to your set up. There is plenty of them around free and paid ones (Sandboxie, Geswall, DefenseWall, Bufferzone).

I'd go with the NOD32 lineup. Email and HTTP scaning being the reason. Don't think you need BOClean , but it doesn't hurt to have it in that lineup.

Pick up a copy of ice sword or better yet RKUnhooker and then examine the SDT Table. That screen alone indicates exactly which of your deeply embedded hookers have taken up guard on certain lines of machine instruction.

Very educational plus helps you observe which programs actually are most rapid in their responses when confronted with some potential file of caution they intercept and suspend as possible threats..

If you have paid for BOClean, use it. Otherwise, you can leave it out of your setup.

Just a question for my more learned freinds here if i was to take the most advanced malware trojan(Rustock B) i have in my archives and load it onto a machine.Then i import the originals posters setup/suggested setup then who would detect Rustock and it's activities ?

So far i've seen 2 softwares mentioned in this topic that are capable of *seeing* it and removing it from a computer and niether are in the original list:dry:

FWIW if people want to make a solid package they should R&R the computer and start from base upwards with the security protocols & softwares afresh:thumb:
