HI I am having a problem with a-squared deep scanning as it keeps showing the following files as Infections ....

Heuristic.AchiveBomb in C:/ Program Files / EST / updfiles/upd64.ver

Heuristic.AchiveBomb in C:/ Program Files / EST / updfiles/upd341F.ver

ive posted at the a-squared form and they susgested .......

You might like to check in the Nod32 support forum on Wilders whether your files are valid.

this was my post to a-squared forum .......

HI , I am fairly new to computers, and have been running a-squared 2.5 beta Free for some
Time now without any problems but over the last two day’s after using the deep scan facility,
The program keeps alerting me to the same infection …. Its shows this …..

1. Heuristic.AchiveBomb in C:/ Program Files / EST / updfiles/upd64.ver
2. Heuristic.AchiveBomb in C:/ Program Files / EST / updfiles/upd341F.ver
3. and shown as unknown
and I put the two Infections in Quarantine and decided to seek help,

As far as I can see and understand the EST, is the
NOD32 program I have also installed..?

And I think may be every time NOD32 ( Version 2.7 ) updates, the a-squared deep scan shows
A new update file form NOD32..? As a infection for some reason, or may be
As a newbie, ive got it all wrong…?

Update ... to day I ran a second new deep scan and the two infections were found again
which ive yet again put in quarntine , I can't understand how if the first time the infections
were put in quarantine, how come to day on this new second deep scan its found the
same two infections once again ...? its all ways the same Two Files

Could some please advise what to do next…? Or can comment on what
The deep scan findings mean..? , ive done a search but it’s a bit confusing for me….

Thanks ……

so can any one here at Wilders NOD32 confirm that infact the above files are NOD32 files,

one other comment ive had is ......

I've checked all my computers, they are running Win2003, Vista32 & WinXP. All are running Nod32 & all do not have the .ver files you list. The only .ver files I have are upd.ver & lastupd.ver.

So this makes me think the files may be some thing other than NOD files...?

Thanks ......

I have had NOD32 v2.5 installed since October, 2006. I have two file types in my X:\Program Files\ESET\updfiles (NOT "EST"):

upd.ver
lastupd.ver

17 files named "nodxxxx.nup" where "xxxx" seems to be a hash of the program code update number.

Nothing else. You _may_ have a problem there....

Just a little feedback until mypenry can hopefully update this thread.

@ A2 forum....http://forum.emsisoft.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=1886{QUOTE-> To day I did a new deep scan and it came up with this.......

Heuristic.AchiveBomb in C:/ Program Files / ESET / updfiles/upd64.ver

Heuristic.AchiveBomb in C:/ Program Files / ESET / updfiles/upd341F.ver

so this time it showed the infections as being at ESET and not EST ....? <-QUOTE}
