BartWare Personal Firewall

Has anyone heard of it and used it. I cant find any reviews on it anywhere.

I really dont know much about Bartware firewall, But I get a little nerveous when program disclaimers are stated like this. I looked at the screen shots but didn't reconize it. I do know that Bartware antivirus is antivir.So there is no telling who designed this firewall. ???

There was not much in the way of response or feedback in a previous post. Just my comments on the disclaimer on the site at that time (similar to bigc73542's post).

Hi.

I did a quick Google search for this firewall.
I was looking for any user reviews/comments on this one.
There are lots of places with the download available but I haven't found any opinions on it so far.
The disclaimer alone would make me very uncomfortable with the idea of trying it.

Best thing to do unless you have a test system. While I will do limited testing/evaluating of established software on my system, I do not have a dedicated test system, nor the time for lesser known products. All we can do is wait to see if someone has tried BartWare PF and chooses to comment on it.

I downloaded the thing out of curiosity and it was on my system exactly an hour. Now, I'm not saying it doesn't work, but I took it to pcflanks and everythiing was wide open. To me it's a work in progress. I spent a little time trying to configure it but finally gave up and removed it. Keep in mind though that I never really got into it. Not much help, I know, and I won't put the Bartware firewall down as useless. Somebody with more experience might be able to make it work.
