Do any of you still use this? Does it do anything that the others don't? Thanks.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the HIPS programs didn't do all WinPatrol does and more.

I use Winpatrol, have for years. Free version doesn't quite guard in realtime, the paid for version is supposed to.
Low resource usage, intuitive. Don't know about the HIPS question. The only one of those I've used is "partial" HIPS incorporated into SpywareTerminator.
The time I got a trojan (Zlob) Scotty seemed to do a pretty good job of preventing the infection from spreading.

I have used the paid version for two years. It is part of my HIPS with paid versions of ProcessGuard and RegDefend. It is light on resources and the paid version of WP has a comprehensive database of applications to see if something is malware or not.

The Plus version has caught some stuff real-time for me.
I like it.

I don't know about the PRO version, but if you are to use the free one,you 're better off with Arovax Shield, because it has real time protection, while Winpatrol Free is simply a poller.

Hi, folks: I am currently using v.10 pro. The new feature of "Delayed Satarter" seems to be interesting. How well does it work? Easy? or confusing? How about if user decides to uninstall WP 2007, would all startup entries vanish w/ it? I do remember using a freeware w/ the same tiltle years ago, and had the same concern. Like to know this before upgrading to v.11.
Thanks.

Recently updated from the Beta to the rtw of the free one, delayed start setting was retained, plus all other settings.
Delayed start is very straightforward; not many applications can be delayed though, eg mostly the OS applications aren't available in the delayed start menu.Any other program you've added, that runs at startup, is.
