Hi to all. My question is if I use Internet Explorer 7 and Autopatcher, do I need to install updates for Internet explorer 6 from Autopatcher, like "Cumulative updates for Internet explorer 6"...

Thank's for any information provided!

u could run autopatcher first, then install IE7.

if u do install IE7 first tho, i guess IE6 updates should not be selected.

You can use Belarc Advisor (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Belarc-Advisor.shtml) to see, if you are missing any security updates.
IE6 will allways be present in XP and will make IE7 vulnerable, unlike in Vista.
IE7 may still use some IE6's files and unpatched IE is like a cracker's dreamer.
But on the other hand updating IE7 files with IE6 updates could make it worse.
I guess, that MS updates are wise, so they should skip files, that are updated.

I have just found out that when I first install Internet explorer 7 then in Autopatcher updates for Internet Explorer 6 are not presented. There are still updates for Internet explorer on SP2 that I mean should be installed no matter of version of Internet explorer. Also i noticed faster loading of webpages in Internet explorer then in Firefox or Opera. I am still on dial up.
Thank's for answers.

Best regards!
