I'm a dial-up home user running W2K and XP with ZA Free 4.5.530.000, AND a Linux Firewall (IPCop http://www.ipcop.org).

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I have imported the 4d-s.xml file from XML-MENU (http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~ehowes/resource5.htm) to customize the cookie settings.

:----- ---------------------|---------------------:
| XML ** Internet ** | ** Trusted ** |
| File 1-noPolicy 1-noRule | 1-noPolicy 1-noRule |
:----- ---------- -------- | ---------- ---------:

4d-s Session Session First First
Session = forceSession - Convert persistent cookies to session cookies.
First = forceFirstParty - Leash cookies so that they are only sent in a first-party context.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I have installed SpywareBlaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html) to set the "kill bit" for spyware ActiveX controls. (It sets value of the Compatibility Flags DWORD value to 00000400 under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\CLSID of the ActiveX control.)

It also adds all the web address for these "bad" sites under the Cookie Privacy Tab as "Always Block".

---------------------------------------------------------------------

QUESTION #1: Am I also sufficiently protected against Web bugs?

QUESTION #2: Should I change the Internet Zone from Medium to High?

QUESTION #3: Should I change the Trusted Zone from Low to Medium?

QUESTION #4: Should I install some other software?

THANKS,
