Also had the opportunity to trial VC very light on resources.....update 4 tro 5 times per day.....Not sure on detection capabilities.......any thoughts on this one gang??? appreciate the input :)

im not sure but i think virus chase used the dr.web engine or was it virus buster? Well one of those 2 uses the dr.web engine.. i pretty sure virus chaser uses the dr.web engine.

Yes, VirusChaser uses the Dr. Web engine with some modifications in the heuristics.

You can unlock the VirusChaser's heuristics manually.
;D

To unlock the heuristics,you should replace your VC's update server url with update.viruschaser.com.cn or update1.viruschaser.com.cn

and then patch your VC 's real-time scan heuristics with the patch followed

THEY RELEASED THE HEURISTIC UPDATE? :o

Now I'm a happy boy :D

But is it necessary that I have to use the China update server? Doesn't the HK server get the heuristic update as well? And is this patch not an automatic update ???

I was gonna give it a trial but, I can't seem to reach their HK site ( www.viruschaser.com.hk/eng/ ). Anywhere else I can DL the trial from?
