Error message using Windows Vista

This is the message I see in the scanning log of NOD32.....

Error occurred while scanning active boot sector of the 1. physical disk. Error reading sector.

Any ideas?

Using NOD32 2.7, all updated

I took a look at both links but nothing stands out as to what may be causing this error.
Another question, while I was looking through both links I noticed something about a card reader, what is that?
Just trying to narrow this error problem down as much as possible but I still dont have any ideas.
