Hey,
Many People get an email virus the day after it's released.
But i never get email virusses!
How does it come they never reach me?
I had 2 emails from the Storm Worm and one time i received sober.
That's 3 times i got an email virus in 7 years....
That's 0.5 virusses in one year.

I dont know about you guys, but the only reason I never get any malware through mail is that I dont give out my email address everywhere. If I want something from someone that wants my emails address I just do invent one at dodgeit.com.
I have been quite aggressive towards my friends that I am not interrested in funny movies or chain letters and such so I know that I never get any attachments (unless I ask for them) in my emails (thunderbird btw), and if one day I do I just ignore it.
I do all my surfing with Firefox and noscript so I cant get any flyby malware from the web either.
Or it might be as simple as BlueZannetti explains :)

I use Yahoo! Web Mail and they scan all scripts and attachments before loading it on the mail server. No virii from their service.

What is you email provider called? Sounds like he is really a good one.
By the way, you have got spam mails in spam folder or no spam at all?

They may scan for virus's but they have the worse spam problem I have ever seen. I am not sure they are scanning for spam at all.

I use a local ISP for my dialup account, he has AV and Spam filtering at the server level, I have yet to get infected by email or any spam in my inbox. He does a great job for his customers and is just a phone call away.

I never find viruses in my email either including Yahoo where others say they get them on a regular basis.
I have to hunt for them and since i research them it takes a lot of time to find sites that use drive by downloads i normally have to resort to virus sites that actively create them.
There is not a virus floating anyplace freely that could possibly infect my main box no matter what. I enjoy SSM because being a HIPS it affords you an instant prompt the moment anything takes advantage of IE which i use extensively for this purpose.
Funny, with my 98 i always sat on the edge of my seat in anticipation when the next dropper would slip thru into the system, but since XP with my HIPS (SSM/CyberHawk) they have eluded and avoided making an effort to jump inside my machine for some reason.
