Hello!

We have an office setting with a central (basic) server in which other various computers access CAD files. The permissions for the users are set so that only certain users can have access to certain folders on the drives and the logins are password protected. Anyhoo i installed ATI10 and once i did the client computers could no longer log into the server and access their files. Weird? So after messing around trying restarting everything and various other things i just decided to uninstall ATI10 and then the clients had normal access to the server again. Any ideas? I did some lookin around on the forum here and couldn't find anything similar. ANY help would be fantastic! ~Off topic question removed - Ron~ Anyone had these issues?
Thanks in advance!

From the FAQ for True Image:

After I installed Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows, I cannot access shared folders that reside on this computer. What's wrong?

The problem is that Microsoft Lanman Server has a fixed limit on how many filters it will support. Since Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows installs some filters to support backups, the total number of filters can exceed the server's limit. The same problem may occur after installation of an antivirus product and is described in the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 177078. Please apply the described workaround and contact Acronis technical support if it doesn't help.

Hello Cyclonic,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please have a look at this FAQ entry (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/faq/access-shared-folders/) regarding the same issue, but for Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. It also has a link to the mentioned Microsoft KB article.

Thank you.
