assume its a WMP plugin Im missing
but do you use the firefox VideoDownloader (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/) extension?
basically the same tech but a little less deep and a little more integrated \ easy to use especially w\ Flashget (http://www.flashget.com/index_en.htm)\Flashgot (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/220/)

No I don´t use FF at all, but anyway, this tool is meant to find download links that are hard to find, most of the time the broadcaster doesn´t want you to be able to save the video. But now that I have tested this tool on more sites, it does not seem to be that cool after all, most of the the time I can´t download the file even if I have what seems to be the correct link. So it looks like I need to buy a good streaming video recorder after all. :-X
