Is Spywareguard Up to Date

I've just installed a copy of Spywareguard following recommendations.

On updating, the definitions file is dated 1-22-04.

Is it worth using ?.

I'm surprised at the date and would appreciate comments.

Edit: With apologies I've found reference to this and the situation as I understand it is that the date of the definition file is not critical and that a number of very experienced people have confidence in continuing to use it.

Its not up to date that is the last update that they had. Rumor has it they are making a new version. I use it to protect against hijackers.

I use it for hijacker protection. I tried changing the home page and a pop up came out telling me it was being changed. Best free anti hijacker protection I know. :thumb:
