AVG interrupts then shuts down

Hello all. I've got something that has hijacked my Google results, and when I click on the highlighted "find" after searching for something, I get redirected. I ran Ccleaner, but AVG keeps coming up with an illegal interrupt after getting through most of the drive. It also crashes my "cleanup". ??? any ideas?? Thanks much.

Have you tried a system or registry restore to a date that your PC was stable?

Have you tried running any antispyware apps in the safe mode? If you can, download and update a-squared Free and (free) Dr. Web CureIT, boot safe, and see if anything shows up.

You may have a damaged file, crapware or (as I see it from what you've said, worst case scenario) only having to reinstall two programs or dump some crapware. But I wouldn't go for the HJT yet.
