Some of those antispam apps for OE can create a .dbx file running into the hundreds of megs.
The best antispam filter is yourself.
I use an older program, Palmail, which can show any available mail at my server.
I can select to delete any spam, recheck to delete, then open OE to retrieve any wanted mail.
Be nice if Palmail was developed further to use my address book as a whitelist and auto delete then it would be ideal.

Heck try Pop Peeper. Look at your email right at the server and check off the ones you don't want right there. You can set it up to handle all your accounts and it comes with some snazzy skins too...:o ;D

Yes, Spami including its many add-ons is excellent. It's a pity that www.spamihilator.com seems to have problems right now.
A possible free and well-known alternative is Spampal.

And if you want one which intergrates into OE, have a look at Spamfighter (http://www.spamfighter.com/Default.asp).
It's free too, but try out some of the proposed suggestions, so you'll know which one fits the bill. :D
Other then that you've K9 (discontinued), Popfile, Spamihilator, SpamPal, Mailwasher & others. 8)

If you don't mind giving up Outlook then Mozilla Thunderbird is a fully operational email client with built in free Bayesian Spam filtering built in, just a thought...::) :o :D

This is a very nice Anti-spam program ( Vade-Retro) from a French company called GoTo Software, ( http://www.goto-software.com/antispam/) It is a free download, but you can pay for updates if you want.I have been using it for the last 7 days and had no problems. Dr Web as just added this to there Anti-virus program.

The combination of Mozilla's Thunderbird (free) with spampal (free) has been almost perfect. Spampal uses a DNS blacklist, and Thunderbird uses a Bayesian filter. Together, nothing is getting through. Best anitspam strategy I've come across.
