one thing i have noticed is that this is version specific..ie if you upgrade to their latest version..than it becomes a 90-day trial...

I have no interest in spyware scanners any longer but for others interested, could someone validate whether or not this free version does infact 'Clean'!
Thanks

I cannot get it to work. Plus there is something about inserting the disk that came with the magazine.

I am pretty sure that the free version does not clean detections found with an on demand scan.

as i said before...i found this link probably on neowin.net...which is removed now...and the key which you will get from the link i provided will work only with version provided in the magazine's cd..which is un-known to me as well...

You can download the free version and get the license code from here,
http://www.computeractive.co.uk/spywaredoctor4/index
I've installed it, updated it and it appears to be the full version with real time protection. So far its removed a few cookies from my system, thats about it.

About 30 mb of ram being used on my system, Not surprising considering the amount of guards it uses.

Malware,
Appears to be. I just downloaded, hurry page states offer ended yesterday, but was still able to get the download and the 90 day key.
Runs light here, peaked at 100Meg during first startup, now running between 3-6 Meg.
Sad thing, is that I use Firefox Minefield development builds and it does not recognize that Firefox is installed. Stupid software should not be looking at version numbers.
I don't use IE except for updates and watching news on MSN, which refuses to accommodate Firefox, along with MSNBC.
EDIT: Open IE7 and the usage jumps to 30+Meg - bang, and CPU shoots up to 80%+, after pages loaded it killed 2 cookies real-time, then settled down.
