Just a simple question.

Well don't know really. Sometimes if I have disabled my Antivir and have found a Zlob on the net and am downloading it to zip it up (To submit to Jotti scanner etc) I have seen windows pipe up and detect, but not that often so I would no way rely on it.
But since its free, occasionally pops up if there has been a new program added to your start up I have kept it running in the background.
I have only just found this out. If anyone does come across malware that should be added to Windows Defender then there submission address is windefend@submit.microsoft.com
Took me an age to find that address out!!
Cheers

My roommate runs Windows Defender alongside NOD32, she swears by it, she especially likes the real time monitoring features. It also offers protection for Internet Explorer.
