It seems to me that Advanced Heuristics (http://www.eset.eu/company/esets-advanced-heuristics-technology-validated-by-independent-tests) should be checked but I would like to hear from the experts/other users.

Thanks!

definitely have it checked - Adv. Heuristics is one of NOD32's best features, it would be a shame not to be using it... like driving a Ferarri with only 4 spark plugs in... ;)

WSFuser, thanks. I found Blackspears guide for Nod32 to be very informative and a must read for new users. I did change some settings and I am glad to be finished with all five pages. I don't know if this is typical but Nod32 seems to be using about 25 MB more of RAM than when I started (with these important new changes)?
