Hi all

I do some I.T. support as a volunteer at a school. I own True Image 9 and use the bootable CD from time to time to do a full image backup of their old Dell GX110 server which runs Windows NT. I currently backup across the network but I'd like to use a portable USB drive for this.

The GX110 only has USB 1 ports which are painfully slow so I'm thinking of installing a USB PCI card. Is this going to work with True Image?

Just picking a reasonable looking one at random, I'm thinking of something like this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815166002) If not that one, any suggestions of one that would work?

Thanks
Ross

Sorry but the best answer is you have to try it unless somebody has the same PC model with a card in it. Since you are using the bootable disk making a BARTPE disk would likely work if the TI CD doesn't.

I have a PCI USB card in my computer and it works well. The PCI slot on your computer runs at 33 mgeahetz. Use a good named brand.

You may pay a bit more for the Adaptec brand, but you get the NEC chipset which is the best for use with Acronis products.
