Hi there,

I'm looking for some more active protection. Something easygoing and nothing that prompt all the time. Something easy like PG compared to SSM.

Windows XP SP2
Kerio 4, HIPS disabled
PG full with RegProt
KAV 6 and BOClean
Spyware Terminator, free - HIPS enabled

on demand:

a-squared, free
ewido, free
Super Anti Spyware, free

Spyware Terminator will be gone (for personal reasons)

Are my settings enough protection? Should I add an other layer? A malware catcher like A-squared, full ?

Thank you in advance.

options:
-CIPS: PrevX
-sandoxes/virtualization apps: GeSWall, DefenseWall, BufferZone, Sandboxie, GreenBorder, etc
IMHO, you already have too much realtime apps:
-AV: KAV
-AT/AS/AM: BOClean
-behaviour blocker: KAV PDM
-firewall: Kerio
-classical HIPS: PG

i agree with lucas, u have more than enough protection.

but if that doesnt bother u, another item u can add is a HOSTS file. in the past i used Hostsman with teh MVPS hosts file.

You are looking at replacing Spyware Terminator with A-Squared full?
That may be an upgrade.

I didn't know that i be so well protected.

For me, Bufferzone, CyberHawk, AVAST antivirus and a hardware firewall along with a software for outgoing. That's enough, combined with very safe surfing, it ought to do the job.

Hello,
You have way too many security apps.
