hi,

Hope you guys could help coz i'm quite confused as to what just had happened. Basically i was running prime95 to stress test my computer and loaded up Everest Ultimate 3.5 to log the temperatures. Everything was running smoothly for few hrs and i decided to turn off the monitor and do some other thing. When i came back AMON has detected a vbs/entice.a virus on my comp. The infected file is the logging file (.htm extention) created by Everest and it was currently being written to by Everest. The msg on AMON is something along this line 'AMON has detected a vbs/entice.a virus in X:/logx.htm file. Event occurred on a file modified by everest'. All this happened while i wasnt connected to the net, and there were no1 else using the comp. So the virus just appeared out of nowhere which is impossible.

Anyhow i stopped everything and scanned the whole comp with nod32, ewido, and a few online scanners but none could find anything on my comp. Anyone can explained what happened?

thanks

Probably an FP.
I suggest you submit the file to samples(at)eset.com so they can take a look at it.
