I am having problems using Trueimage with a new Dell inspiron 1501 with SATA disk drives. I use my boot CD, and and external usb disk. Bootup is fine, but Trueimage only sees the external USB drive, not the laptop's internal hard disk. Ideas?

Hello yosemite,

Each new version or build of True Image contains better Linux device drivers which are incorporated into the Acronis bootable rescue CD. Therefore please boot from the rescue CD, select Tools > About and advise the version and build number that you see reported.

Please don't double post the same issue. It makes it harder to help.

Hello yosemite, kmoss and adidas,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/products/).

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please make sure you use the latest build (http://www.acronis.com/support/updates/) of the respective version of Acronis True Image. To get access to updates you should first register (http://www.acronis.com/registration/) your software. Don't forget to recreate Acronis Bootable Rescue Media after updating.

If updating does not solve the problem, please try booting with "acpi=off noapic" parameter as it is described in Acronis Help Post (http://wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317).

If the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

Please create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post (http://wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317). Please connect drives in question connected and powered on during the creation process.

Then submit a request for technical support (http://www.acronis.com/my/support/). Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

Please be aware that according to Acronis License Policy you should purchase one license of Acronis Product per every computer it will be used on.

Thank you.
