-{ Quote: "Microsoft said Thursday that it will release six security updates next week to bring the year's total to 77, a new record.

In the advance notification posted mid-morning Thursday, Microsoft announced it would roll out five updates for Windows and one that targets Visual Studio, one of the company's development platforms. At least two of the updates will be labeled "critical," Microsoft's highest warning. " }- Story (http://www.informationweek.com/story/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=196602433)

I´m really wanting SP3, the amount of post-SP2 fixes is big

Everything points to quit a wait on SP3. MS would seem to be throwing all their resources into Vista. I have heard release dates ranging anywhere from mid 2007 to sometime in 08.

I wonder if one of the critical updates will be WGA2? Lots of people used that little "remove wga" tool and MS was not at all pleased. (joking)

Unlikely they will do that. Right now, having automatic updates for Windows enabled should be a thing of the past. Too much convenience in some cases, breeds security problems.
