HDD not turning off after inactivity (XP power options)

hi there

the harddisk on my pc is not turning off after 15 minutes of inactivity, as set in XP's power options. pc is EPIA ML8000G, XP+SP2+fixes
when I exit nod32, turning off is working

searched this forum and FAQ, couldnt find anything related.

is there a way NOD32 can be configured so turning off is still working?
would love to get it working, because pc is always on

System standby works, it's basically the same as turning off harddrives (which never worked on my XP).
