Fatal Exeption Errors, what are they and how to fix them

Hello my friends.
I need help and I need the help to be real easy to follow.

I clicked on Winmx and up popped a mesage saying .

A fatal exeption OD has occured at 0246:012F47F3.
It also happened when i was using Yahoo messanger.

I am not too clever at all in understanding this.
Any ides how to fix it ( in the simplest of terms please ) would be really welcome.
