Am I the only one who is trialing this proggie?

I’m trialing SnS for a couple of days now and I’m very impressed. Like to hear some opinions. Whip it out boys !

I’m running it under “strict policy”. Popups are minimal. For advanced users there is “total policy”. Userfriendliness is between SSM en PrevX (depending on the chosen “policy”). SnS has an integrated outbound firewall.
SnS is loaded before the o.s. services: nice one. 8) It has no impact on my system resources and there is no conflict with AntiVir (free). It works very effectively.

It seems compatible with most other programs I've challenged it with and they have fixed some issues I saw in v2 (occasional losing track of the active console, which is awkward if an alert is caught in that miss, but they do timeout and go with a default action in that event - personally, I'd allow a faster user set timeout).

Just found out:

When using SnS together with KAV 6, disable Proactive Defense in KAV;)

SnS + PD do not work well together (which is quit logical).

SnS + SSM do not work at all: SSM driver can not be loaded.

This proves again: no 2 drivers in 1 car.

Can't judge about it on this moment: I'm using SnS for just a couple of days now but love it :-* .

PD served this Kasperskynaut always well, just like everything in KAV8)

I've used SnS in the past, but had issues back from the early 2.0 days. Briefly tried the 2.5 trial, and had same issues. Issues were stability. I stopped fooling with it because there activation limit was a pain. True they always gave a new key, but still it was a total pain compared to say KAV 6.0 or SSM.

As for SnS, it is on the top of my list should I ever decide to replace SSM. It tested very good by AV-C & kareldjag, and it's quite reasonably priced, to boot. I trialed it for about a week & was VERY favorably impressed. Oddly enough, it got along just fine with SSM.

The conundrum with SnS is that I can't find a cubbyhole to put it into, category-wise. Is it a behavior blocker? Does it use signatures? A blacklist? A whitelist? Or WHAT exactly is its modus operandi? If someone can explain it, I would be very grateful.???

Same here. Program and system freezes.

Had the same problem. After disabling proactive defense in KAV 6 everything works well till now.

If you have some other proggie running in the proactive defense department disable it and see if the problems are gone.

Besides it's not a big deal, we are all vets of this forum, we know what the score is here. Let's face it once some guy gets it into his head he is part of the team of some other project (warning signs includes proudly displaying
"BETA-TESTER" , boasting about private communications with the team and how important they are and how many of their great ideas were implemented), you have to start to be very careful. More careful anyway.

At one point I uninstalled all other security software. I think the conflict was with Internet Explorer, which is tough to remove.

Just tried the latest version, updated and still found the program freezing. This was just with an AV running in real time.

So it still does not like my system :-[
