DD on disk prev partitioned with PartitionMagic

Are there any issues using DD on a disk that has been partitoned with Partitionmagic (PM)?

I ask as I wish to get away from PM and I have had problems in the past with DD (OS selector crashing on install and other issues). I just don't know if the issues were down to PM or not.

In my limited experience with partitioning tools I have found that absolutely nothing has any trouble whatsoever with partition tables created by Partition Magic. However, the inverse is not true. Partition Magic will complain about partition table errors if the table was created by almost any other partitioning tool.

It also tells me something about the support that one may expect as nobody from Acronis has replied. Pity PartitionMagic developement has stopped.
