AppDefend has five states: 1. BLOCK, 2. ALLOW, 3. ASK USER / ALLOW, 4. ASK USER / BLOCK, 5. DEFAULT.
These states are explained at http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=107339.
There, Jason explains DEFAULT as follows:
"DEFAULT - Use whatever is defined in the .Default rule".
This explanation prompts me to ask three questions:
1. What is THE .Default rule?
2. Where do you find ".Default rule"?
3. Precisely what happens when a permission is set to Default?
