HandsOff

Copying contents of an XP system drive to a new drive is something that most people don't do very often (due to the virtues of backup software, and use your internal system drive till it explodes behavior - Obviously, after the drive explodes there is not a great need for this technique).
I on the other hand, have a major problem with the traditional approach. Namely, skeptic that I am, I want to see the new drive actually run, before the old drive is dead. just a piece of mind issue.
BTW copy does not equal move. For the same reason stated in the preceding paragraph. My history: Have only used the manufacturer tools which, are great, but quirky. I am hoping to find something a little closer to "Slam Dunk"!
Also, if use a different approach that does not involve more than one computer, and one clumbsy computer user with a low tolerance for frustration, please give this wonderful method a well - deserved plug!
-HandsOff
I should mention it will probably be too late to save me, but it will be interesting reading, weeks from now when I finally get it back together!
