Search C: 'Programs' and 'Application Data' and remove old version files manually.

Where are you finding update 10? Following your link, registering leads to update 9. I had problems with 9, & had to go back to 8.

I have been trying all day and only find update 9 even on the manual download page checked my version on Sun which shows 9 as the latest version ??? http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Put to Google - jre 5.0 update 10 - click on the first link (screen (http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/9788/capture11212006182024zs2.jpg)) - it should work (screen (http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/2348/capture11212006182041yc3.jpg)).

Just to let you people know,all Java 5.0 even update 11 is old and outdated.I have been using Java 6.0 for months with zero problems.Get it here, http://www.filehippo.com/download_java_runtime/tech/ or direct from Sun here. http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
