I recently downloaded and installed the trial version of Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 because a coworker said it was the best thing since sliced bread.
This is my topology and network...
I have a Windows 2003 SP1 Server as a PDC, DHCP and DNS Server with Acronis Snap Deploy Mgmt Console, License Server, OS Deploy Server, and PXE Server installed on the same box. My laptop has the Mgmt Console installed on it also so I can create templates from a remote machine.
Here's what I did to create an image....
- Installed Windows XP SP2 on Dell Optiplex GX280
- Installed Patches on Win XP and a few applications
- Installed Snap Deploy Mmgt Agent on Wks
- Installed Sysprep tool on XP machine in C:\sysprep
- Ran sysprep and selected Mini Setup, Shutdown Mode and clicked Reseal
- Shutdown PC
- Booted PC to NIC/PXE and Viewed Acronis Screen
- Selected Master Image Creator and Uploaded Image
After the image was uploaded (it says it was successful) the PC will only show the POST/Dell screen and keep rebooting. It will not boot into the Windows XP imaged OS.
Any ideas or steps that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance.
