Hi, i want to do a full ntfs format to the primary partition of my hard drive (western digital. The primary partition i am talking about is 50 GB).How exactly i do that?Because when i choose to format my drive it only took 2 seconds and that probably means that i did a quick format.

Also there was an option that i am unfamiliar with it.Cluster size if i remember correctly. And i leave it to default (Auto 4KB)

Did i do something wrong there?Maybe it have any negative impact to my hard drive?

To better explain myself if all the above sounds a bit confusing. All i want is to do a full ntfs format like the one Windows xp do when you install them.

Thanks for any help.

There is nothing wrong with a Quick format, if you are worried about your drive do a chkdsk /r which will check each sector of the disk.
