A good pop up stopper

I recall there was a popup stopper with a name of AD something it was docked to the IE. It used to be free but now in Version 3 you have to pay for the full one or have the basic one free (but it limits you to 10 defs). Thus what is that program called?

also what are other good popup stoppers that are also non memory hungry and don't take away from your explorer size.

The popupstopper is still as effective.

You might also want to consider AdMuncher 4.51 Build 8415 http://www.admuncher.com/

It's able to filter all Browsers and all application that has access to the internet
Will stop Ads, Popups and some ActiveX control.

The problem I have is that Ad Muncher crashes my Exploiter once in a while and telling me that something went Focky with admuncher and to send the info to the company.

Proxomitron is the best popup/under/cookie/activex/java/javascirpt blocker available. It has a steep learning curve, but is very configurable

Yep, I use The Proxomitron too.

Just a little bit of information though for anyone new to it: the creator, Scott Lemmon, is no longer developing this program. However, there are many people who are continuing to use this great little application, with many creating new filters etc. and trying not to let it die out.

Proximitron is great ( proxy progam ) the problem with that is that people on broadband will experience considerable slowdown.

if your not then your not being protected by Prox.... sorry but using proxy for broadband user regardless of what kind of proxy you use will have 79% decrease in speed.

Always depends of what kind of proxys you'll find. Since proxys are not reliable therefore speed can't be reliable. The more users using the same proxys the slower it gets.

Fluxgx claims otherwise, or is he talking about using a remote proxy via proxomitron?
