I'm using OpenOffice Writer 2.0.4 and am trying to create a text box which has border lines at the top and bottom, but not on the left and right. In Microsoft Word, there was an option which had a picture of a text box which could be clicked to add remove the border line on particular sides.

With OpenOffice Writer, I cannot find a similar option/feature.

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a text box in OO Writer with border lines only on the top and bottom ?

I'm using the 2nd Icon under the "Insert" Toolbar. After I create a textbox, I doubleclick on the borders and the properties page pop up.

From there, I select the borders tab and went with the default "Top/Bottom" only borders.

Hope this helps.

Thanks KikiBibi!

I was using the T icon on the Drawing toolbar which doesn't offer this feature :)
