eTrust promo and spyware removers !

for the last few days, I found eTrust promo slowing down the scan speed of both Spybot S&D and Ad-aware (the counter count one by one !)..
if I disabled the on-access scanner (or installed another AV like Avast4 for example), the scan returns to its normal speed.
how can I fix this ? :'( :'( :'(

Hi minacross,

The same problem has been reported to happen with NAV. (although not as slow as you described it)
Either disable the resident AV during the scan or think of it as a spyware and virusscan in one. ;)

Are you running AdAWare full scan or the smart scan?

Most likely the problem is that the virus-scanner checks every file AdAware looks at.
I'm not familiar with eTrust but maybe you can exclude the AdAware directory?
