View Full Version : Can Virtual Machines bypass Trojan activity?

Hi. As all you know , antimalware softwares can't find every malicious code on Windows. Therefore some preventing options are advised for privacy security (online shopping and banking matters etc.) , such as using livecd linux distros leaving Windows or using such kind of distros by virtual machines (VMware, Virtual PC) installed on Windows. I wish to know that whether a trojan, which was installed in windows and not detected by antimalwares, can trace the web traffic of the linux os which is booted on Virtual Machines or not. Thanks

The answer is maybe.
Depends on malware. Theoretically, yes. Practically, maybe.
