We have an Exchange 2003 SP2/Outlook 2003 "cached Exchange mode" (default) environment with NOD32 on desktops as well as on the servers. We noticed that for all users who were enabled on BES, for virtually every e-mail in Outlook would be the message "You made changes to another copy of this item. This is the most recent version. Click here to see the other versions"
After disabling EMON on the client, these errors immediately stopped. Similary, disabling Blackberry on the same client with EMON enabled caused the messages to stop also. It appears to be the combination of EMON and BES that is causing this problem.
The problem is more serious than just the error because Outlook keeps multiple copies of the same message in the hidden "Conflicts" folder which needlessly uses up space.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
