I've always liked AVG free edition, but always wished it offered the option to (automatically) check for updates more often than just once a day.
I've found a small workaround for this: you can create a scheduled task for the file -
C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Free\avginet.exe
- and it will check for updates for you. You can customize this task and give it a "multiple schedule" update and set it to check for updates on an hourly basis, if you'd like. However, I was wondering if any of you know of any AVG command line switches that will suppress the update confirmation popup (OK button with 30 second countdown timer)?
Thanks,

PS - This workaround is for AVG Free edition version 7.5 (latest). I'm not sure if this will work on older versions or not.
